Gael Glen's Love Triangle

For the first time ever Gael Glen Farm has a love triangle featuring none other than our favourite turkey, Pecky Becky.  Oh, the turkey drama.

It seems that after Betty's escape attempt yesterday, Pecky Becky is feeling a bit miffed at being left behind and has decided that it is time to find a new, more loyal, bff.  And who does Pecky Becky have in mind, you ask?  Our very own loyal farm helper, Ms. Kerry.

Over the past several weeks we have begun to suspect that Pecky Becky is, in fact, a tom (a boy turkey).  He is now almost twice as large as Betty even though they were born on the same day.  Today our suspicions were confirmed.  As soon as Pecky Becky set his beady little turkey eyes upon the vision that is Ms. Kerry, he was smitten.  For the first time EVER, Pecky Becky puffed up all his feathers, splayed out every single one of his tail feathers in a perfect fan, and paraded in front of her in the most shameless and flamboyant display of turkey flirting I have ever witnessed.

Ms. Kerry admired Pecky Becky's strut but eventually continued on with her chores at which time Becky immediately de-pouffed, hunched over, and shuffled off.

Who knows what is going on in Pecky Becky's little turkey brain?  Does he really think Ms. Kerry is an eligible turkey hen?  Is he trying to make Betty jealous?  Did it work?!

After Ms. Kerry's departure I sidled up to Pecky Becky on a few occasions to see if he would puff up again but to no avail.  He is totally and completely uninterested in me.  I guess we will just have to bide our time until Ms. Kerry's next visit for the next chapter in our very own turkey/Kerry love triangle.
