My life is filled with handy men. First, there is Ian. Back on the farm, he and Steve managed to fix a broken alternator on our car. Wow! I am impressed.
Next, there is Liam. At the cottage, Liam hung an entire load of laundry on the clothes line with absolutely zero adult assistance. When he puts his mind to it, Liam can be incredibly helpful.
Third, there is Seamus. Under Grandma's tutelage, Seamus has turned into a very handy garbage collector, tractor driving assistant, and garbage delivery man.
Finally, we cannot forget Alistair. Ali is a handy napper; he can sleep anywhere and through pretty much anything. Today had gave me a solid two hour morning nap. Long Ali naps are so helpful as they allow me to get things done around the house and spend some one-on-one time with the bigger boys.
Speaking of helpful, Martha and Mellie report that Ian is doing a satisfactory job as substitute livestock sitter. While they miss their regular food lady (who wouldn't), they have decided that Ian is acceptable as a temporary food deliverer. As long as he keeps the grain snacks coming, they have promised not to go into labour on his watch.
Ian may be handy but it seems that that will not stop my craft goats from keeping him on this toes!
