Fishy Thrills and Fudge Fabrication

Our ongoing search for toddler-appropriate adventures brought us to the Brockville Aquatarium.  It was a kids' paradise.

Hey grownups, we should go swimming with the fishies.
We can climb in by ourselves. See?
We found rope ladders and bridges, touchable crustaceans, affectionate otters, and giant fans.  It was two hours of chaos.  The kids were ecstatic, the adults exhausted.  Really the fish were superfluous to the whole excursion.

After finding the secret passage way and
climbing the rickety 8 foot ladder
(while Grandma had a minor heart attack),
Liam crossed the rope bridge just like a real pirate.
Let's touch stuff!

Now? Less talk, more touch!

Where are the otters?  We're waiting.

Liam got an otter kiss.  Fishy.

Abby: "MINE.  MINE. MINE. MINE."
Grayson: "Do you hear something?  No?  Me neither."
Seamus: "Should we stick our fingers in this enormous fan?"
Grayson considering....
Abby: "Ugh.  Boys."

Our future sailor.
On second thought, the kids were exhausted too.  In the car...

The only one with energy left after this morning's excursion was Grandpa.  He was in a maple fudge making mood.  This is extraordinarily convenient as I just happened to mention that it would be great to bring his delicious fudge to the concert at Joe and Cheryl's tomorrow.

Is your mouth watering yet?

Anyone want to lick the beaters?
