Firewood Relocation Diversion

I start most days devising a plan to get here....

...happy and tired toddlers.  This task is much easier when we are at the cottage.  I have never met anyone as skilled at engaging toddlers in outdoor "make-work" projects as Grandpa.  Today he convinced Liam and Seamus to collect logs from the woods and relocate them to the firewood pile.  The boys felt very lucky to participate in this important and time sensitive work.

First, they sought out dead trees in the forest which Grandpa cut into logs.

The boys were then responsible for rolling the logs out of the forest and onto the path.

Next they loaded up Kabota's bucket.
I think half the incentive was that the boys got to alternate turns "driving" the tractor to drop off each load.  There is nothing my boys like better than tractor rides.

Finally dumping time!

By lunch time, Grandpa's firewood relocation diversion had produced two very happy and tired (thank goodness) boys.  Thank you Grandpa!
