Accepting the Return of Old Man Winter

Now that we have accepted the return of Old Man Winter, the outdoor fun has begun...again.  Liam has come down with another cold, so he stayed home from school today.  This way he does not share more germs with his classmates and can (hopefully) spend a good portion of the day sleeping away his illness before he gives it to the rest of the family.  I did let him play outside this morning before going back to bed.  I figured the fresh air might do him good - both to rid him of some of his germs and to tire him out so he naps longer.

We fixed up our mini snowmen.

Did some sledding.

Hunted some Christmas trees.  We caught two good specimens.

Checked on the bee yard.  Unsurprisingly, there were no bees out and about.

Looked for birds. No luck here either.

Did the shovelling.

And even posed nicely for a photo.

Busy morning.  Liam was asleep by 10:30am and Seamus by 12:10pm.  Ah, peace and quiet at last.
