We harvested carrots, pulled out overgrown basil and spinach plants, pruned unwieldy tomatoes, weeded, watered and much more!
After cleaning up (ourselves and the vegetables), we got busy cutting up tomatoes, cabbages and carrots for canning. We tagged Daddy in for the actually canning part because we were too tired!
For supper, we had a well deserved sweet corn feast. From the corn stalks in our garden to our dinner plates in 6 minutes! The freshest corn we will ever, ever eat and it was heavenly.
It is quite amazing that a single corn kernel given soil, water and sun can turn into a whole cob of mouthwatering perfection. Mother Nature is the ultimate cool kid.
