Monkeying Around

With the warmer daytime temperatures, our chickens have begun monkeying around.  This involves squeezing themselves under a gate that is currently sitting crooked because the fence post has heaved due to the ground freezing and thawing.  Once they have "escaped" into the back yard the hens run repeatedly up and down the path between the chicken coop and the garage.

The chicken coop is far in the distance.

Back and forth.  Back and forth.  Back and forth.  All day long.

Basically, it is a chicken free-for-all until they get hungry or thirsty and decide to re-squeeze themselves back into the chicken run.

Chicken tracks in the back yard.
While we are busy monkeying around poultry-style on the farm, Ian is actually monkeying around with real monkeys in India.

We may be half a world away but it seems that everyone is full of mischief today.
