We took the boys out for dinner at Almonte's Cheeky Chippy tonight with dessert across the street at the Daily Scoop to celebrate Alistair completing his first week of school. Ali was very excited to be feted. We won't mention that he has been throwing a tantrum each morning at drop off or that he has been up every hour for the past two nights crying that we can't let the daycare worker "take him" and moaning "Ali no go to school". Ugh. At least it is the weekend. Hopefully Ali sleeps through the night and maybe even in late tomorrow morning to make up for all his missed z's.
P.S. I should mention that Ali is always happily playing at pick up time and tells me right away that he had fun at school with a big smile. Yet he seems to forget all about this by drop off time the following morning, hence the tear fest. Poor kid.
