We do what we can to keep the days fun and exciting for our boys. Today we picked pears off the tree of a generous neighbour.
We made enormous chocolate chip cookies and homemade corn dogs. I know, right?!
We let the big boys stay up late for a special pre-frost harvest. Think of it like a farmstead treasure hunt - searching for peppers with headlamps. They had a blast.
Now we have lots of pears, peppers, tomatoes, eggplant and oregano to preserve. I am looking forward to running out of mason jars to fill. It has to happen eventually!
