Tap, Tap, Tap

Spring is clearly not here quite yet but we are busy hoping that it is near.  With any luck, very, very soon it will be maple syrup making time!

We have been busy perfecting our pancake recipe for weeks now but today it was finally time to head out and tap the maple trees that are going to produce this year's maple syrup crop.  What fun!  What excitement!

We are beyond thankful to the Armstrong family for sharing their maple grove with us again this year.  We love mapling season; it is the absolute best way to welcome spring to the Ottawa Valley.  Now we just need some warmer daytime temperatures to get that sap a-flowing!
