Football vs. Laundry

Today turned out to be even more relaxing than I anticipated.  I had intended to spend the day getting caught up on laundry but it was not meant to be - our washing machine bit the dust after the very first load.  With the newfound freedom of no longer having to spend my day chained to the washer, I delegated finding new laundry machines to Ian and instead spent my day doing yoga, training new farm animal sitters, and helping Liam prepare for his Super Bowl Party.

I am happy to report that Liam's party was a roaring success.  His menu: chicken fingers and french fries, popcorn shrimp, spicy chicken wings (for Daddy), shrimp cocktail, a layered taco dip with Scoops, a large vegetable platter with dip, All Dressed potato chips, and, of course, Coca Cola (Zero - shhh!).  What a feast!

Even with long afternoon naps, the boys only lasted until half time but they enjoyed their party and special snacks immensely.

Lots of fun was had by all even though the boys are still pretty confused about what all the lines on the field mean and why the red team kept breaking the rules and getting punishments.  We used a few of the interference calls as a teaching moment about why keeping your hands to yourself is a good rule at any age, lol.  Watching football sure beats doing laundry!
