From Fungi to Rainbows

Our busy Saturday began and ended with a little excitement.  After yesterday evening's rain, our winecap mushroom patch exploded!  This morning we harvested this year's first batch of homegrown edible mushrooms.  We later cooked them up into some delicious creme of mushroom soup (made with our foraged wild garlic, homegrown garlic, our own dried thyme, and goat milk, of course).  So yum.

After dinner the boys helped with evening chores.  In addition to receiving chick snuggles, they were further rewarded for their hard work with a phenomenal rainbow.  Such a treat.

A day full of rainbows, fuzzy chicks, and fungi - who could ask for more?!
