Some days you are pretty sure nothing remarkable is going to happen. It is going to be a laundry, dishes, farm chores kind of day...until, your kid gets his finger
really, really stuck in the latch on the chicken coop door. This is the farm kid equivalent of sticking one's tongue to frozen metal - pretty dumb but with the potential to be traumatizing.
Luckily Liam is a pretty calm fellow and good at taking deep, soothing breaths. And Mama was quick fetching the olive oil. In the end there was no harm done, except perhaps a bruised ego. That is one way to add a little excitement to an otherwise unremarkable day.
