With the front of the house done, except for replacing the decorative corbels, painting the screen doors and eventually having a new roof installed, today we moved into the backyard to tackle the overgrown vegetable gardens.
Yikes! We have been neglecting these beds and now we have so, so many weeds.
It took us most of the afternoon, but we were able to make some good progress. We pruned the tomato plants and weeded the entire kitchen garden.
Liam and Seamus were a huge help weeding so after Alistair's nap, we all headed out for a special ice cream treat.
It was messy but so delicious.
It was the perfect reward for an afternoon of hard work.
