A Rainy Day Crowd Pleaser

On this beautifully thundery Monday, we did a bit more exterior painting - safe and dry under the covered porch, of course.

The second coat on the posts are done and the first coat on the rocking chairs is drying.

While hiding from the rain (though we are so glad to have it!) we kept busy by cooking up some vegetarian chilli.  We were able to use a bunch of stuff from our gardens and pantry in this made-up recipe: scallions, lovage, basil and oregano as well as canned green tomatoes and stewed tomatoes.

With a scoop of Greek yogurt on top, this chilli was a rainy day crowd-pleaser, for sure!
