Nutrition Distribution Project

Even though our hens lay far fewer eggs in winter time, they unfortunately do not eat less.

Our grain bins are empty!
Getting their layer ration (I use the term "layer" loosely at this time of year) from the farm store to the chickens' feeder was one of this weekend's projects.

For a five dollar delivery fee, Kinburn Farm Supply will drop the sacks of chicken food right in our driveway.
Ah, the convenience.

We need to move our mountain of feed before the mice get into it.

My trusty helpers.  They make everything more fun!

What do you mean you can't lift it into the coop yet?!

That is more like it.

A full feeder makes for happy hens.

Nutrition distribution complete....for now, at least.
