Working with the Rain

We took our cue from the weather today.  We dug in the pond garden until it began to rain too hard.

We then left the shovels in the future rose garden and promised Ali more wheelbarrow rides tomorrow before heading inside for homework time.  We wrapped up our chapter on Nova Scotia with a hands on kitchen project.  The boys and I made seafood chowder with cheddar scallion biscuits.

We clipped off the tops of our onion seedlings and they worked perfectly.

We used the ling that Liam and Ian caught on their ice fishing holiday.

This was the most delicious homework assignment and a perfect supper for what turned out to be a very rainy day.
