Coming Home

The boys and I were thrilled to arrive home to enthusiastic greetings from our farm family.  I got kisses and tail wags from all the sheep, happy bleats from the goats, scratches and rubs from Ava and purrs from Pecky Becky.

We had spring flowers and snap peas pop up to welcome us home.

Spinach and sorrel grow up to say "hello".

All of this new growth softened the blow of my precious baby eggplants that dried out on Ian's watch.

And the very deceased chicken I found in the back of the run near the pig barn.

Overall, we are very happy to be home though not as happy as Ian since he can now pass the daily farm chores back to me.  Speaking of farm chores, there are a ton to do tomorrow...stay tuned!
