Double Whammy

We are happy to report some good news on two fronts today.

First, all of our freezers are cleaned out and re-organized.  It turns out that we have a good supply of prepared meals for quick lunches and busy evenings (stews, soups, and pastas).  We have lots of meat (deer, lamb and pork) and berries (cranberries, red raspberries and red currants).  We also have a whack load of Halloween candy in the freezer - enough to last to infinity and beyond, without a doubt.  It looks like some roasting, baking and snacking (?) are in our future.

Our second piece of good news is that the parental leave policy at Ian's work got revamped just in time for him to be eligible to take a whole month of parental leave with Alistair.  As the sole wage earner for our family, it was never financially viable for Ian to take parental leave when there was no top up to his salary available from his company.  Now he finally can!  He will be home with us for all of January 2020.  What a way to ring in the new year.  We are so excited.

Clean freezers and the promise of some quality family time in the new year.  Could this day get any better?!
