Sugar Mountain

It is that time of year again - fall feeding season is upon us.  Buying massive amounts of sugar from whatever store has it on sale is always fun.  People look at me like I am a crazy person and some even comment that I must have quite a sweet tooth.  Ha ha, like I have not heard that one before.

Walmart had sugar on for $1 for a 2 kg bag; half price.  I stocked up.  Even the cashier looked at me like I was nuts and I bet you they have seen everything.

The bees were not complaining though when I placed a bucket of sugar syrup on their hive.  I guess I will just have to chalk it up to one of the many strange things a beekeeper will do for her bees.
