English Muffin Extravaganza

Today Seamus and I focused our attention on doing laundry and baking sourdough English muffins. While a blow-by-blow of my laundering process would be riveting, I will focus on the muffins.

Second 2 hour rise at room temperature after a 24 hour rise in the fridge.

All puffed up.  Baked on the electric griddle for 12 minutes on each side at med-low heat...

...with a cookie sheet on top to make them flat.

Flipped over to brown on the other side.

So many muffins!

Delicious with butter and honey.

Also, as a "homesteader" bacon and egg mcmuffin: farm fresh egg, homemade English muffin and sunflower shoots.

Yum!
Sometimes breakfast as dinner really hits the spot.

  1. Wow - they look like the store-bought ones! Bet they taste a hundred times better though - good work, Krystal and Seamus!!
