Our six sheep worked very hard all year long growing out their wool to make Ross' visit to our farm worth his time. As always Abbott is the easiest to shear - he is such a gentle animal for being the largest of our flock - and he has the best quality fleece.
The lambs, however, were not nearly as accommodating. This was their first ever haircut and they did not appreciate Ross' dance moves. They flailed and baa'd and generally put up a huge fuss.
Despite their shenanigans, Ross got everyone clipped up in no time at all.
Sheep Shearer Ross may left with a few too many mosquito bites but at least now (with our one bag of wool from spring 2020 and two from 2021) we can answer truthfully, "Yes Sir, yes Sir, three bags full".
