Finally Finished & Very Proud

Gael Glen Farm's "Roses and Raspberries Tea Garden" is finally finished!  We put the last few touches on it today: artfully arranging the freshly painted table and chairs, planting the pansies and petunias, and hanging Aunt Jane's painted birdhouse and the hummingbird feeder.  It is really a sight to behold.

We figured that there is no time like the present to take our new garden out for a spin (so to speak).  We whipped up a few Mint Juleps with some volunteer mint from our rhubarb patch and enjoyed our fancy cocktails outside in our new waterfall-accented oasis.  The atmosphere was perfect, though it turns out that a Mint Julep sounds better than it tastes.

Having wrapped up one major garden project before vegetable planting season has really even begun is a major coup.  I am very proud of all our hard work and very happy with the outcome of my new pond and garden.  Now hopefully the weeds will grow back really, really slowly.  Luckily there is no mint volunteering itself in my new garden (yet!) as we would never be able to keep it under control if we had to drink Mint Juleps to use it up!
