We Will Prevail

When every day is family day on the farmstead, letting our imaginations run wild is an excellent way to make the mundane memorable.

Today Clan Kehoe MacLeod saddled up our trusty steeds (Charlotte and Emily) and adventured our way on an epic wilderness expedition...all within walking distance of our farm.

Guided by our fearless leader,

over a rickety old bridge that was barely hanging on,

and across a vast plane of treacherous ice shards, we encountered many hair raising obstacles.

We leapt across a gigantic crevice with lava bubbling up from its depths.

We narrowly avoided being smashed to smithereens by icebergs floating past in the raging black ocean.

We stumbled across fresh wildebeest tracks.  We hear that these beasts are always hungry...

We carefully navigated around bottomless inky pools of quicksand.

We climbed many steep and icy mountains, sometimes barely making it to the summit in one piece.

And all this only to have our quest foiled as we almost reached our goal by rapidly encroaching slush flooding the path and blocking the passage of even our most gallant of steeds.

Oh well, reaching the elusive "Covered Bridge" is only one small part of the adventure.  The memories are in our valiant attempts to get there. Stay tuned.  We will prevail.
