3 Activities for 3 Active Little Boys

Everyone found something to do today around the farm to keep themselves out of trouble.

Liam assisted with our ongoing rat extermination project.  One dozen down, probably more to go.

Alistair did some baking in his fancy "new" kitchen that we brought up from the basement.

Seamus helped his Daddy with mapling.

Boy, was the sap was running today!  We collected 11 more huge buckets.  Ian and I will be boiling all night and well into the weekend.

All in all, it was a very good way to end the work week.

We are looking forward to some sunshine this weekend and the opportunity to get outside and do some work around the farm.  We have fruit trees and grape vines to prune, fences to mend, a baby chick coop to plan, peas and spinach to plant, cold frames to erect, and barns to muck out.

Our farm animals may be subjected to more conversation than usual while we go about our chores to make up for our lack of human socialization lately but who knows, they may have something important to say.  I will keep you posted if I hear any scandalous barnyard gossip.
