The Fabric of our Everyday Lives

One of the most meaningful things about living on the farm is its ability to gently remind you to appreciate the small things that make up the fabric of our everyday lives.

Charlie's frosty eyebrows.
Vibrant new oven mitts.
Fresh bed linens and brand new pillow cases.
Hanging clothes outside on the line (not today obviously, it is freezing outside!).
Surprising the sheep with fresh celery.
Enjoying a relaxing cup of Harney & Sons' Hot Cinnamon Spice (my far and away favourite tea) during nap time.
An impromptu after dinner date at the movies while my mom keeps watch over the boys/house/animals.

My days as a farmer, partner, and mother are not necessarily easy but it is the little moments that make them so worth living.
