Mixed Reactions

We received mixed reactions to our arrival back to Gael Glen Farm.  On one hand, the pepper seedlings were very happy to see us.  Most had sprouted in their damp paper towel nursery and were eager for us to pot them up into soil.

On the other hand, Charlie was not impressed to see me coming to put her to bed.  She gave me a thorough sniff, decided that I was definitely not Ms. Kerry, and refused to go into the barn.  It took a 20 minute staring contest for her to finally give in and go inside.  Thank goodness, as I was had been starting to consider leaving her out to sleep with the coyotes.  It turns out that Ms. Kerry is quite liberal with the treats and Charlie was living the good life during our absence.

Like it or not, our family holiday at the cottage is over and we are back to reality (and chores) on the farm.  Thank you Ms. Kerry, Clara and Jack for taking such amazing care of our farm family while we were away.
