Back Home Just in Time for Spring

Our hope was to hit up a Cabane a Sucre on our drive home from our Mont Tremblant vacation but it was simply not to be.  We discovered that most of the sugar shacks along our route are closed until 2023 and there were no reservations available at the few that were open. Never to fear - we are nothing if not adaptable. So, today we celebrated the Spring Equinox by creating our very own Gael Glen Farm Cabane a Sucre. In the company of the lovely family that owns the maple grove, we collected sap and set it to boil while we fried up some pancakes and sausages and made maple taffy on what is left of the snow in our front yard.  It was a perfect end to our wonderful March Break holiday and a great way to officially welcome Spring to our farm.
