Ian woke with a stomach ache this morning so we took our time packing up and driving to our camping spot at the Parc National de la Gaspesie. The drive through the mountains (for this of us who weren’t napping) was amazing. It was the first time the boys have seen mountains - some of the taller ones even had patches of snow on them - in July!
The sun was scorching when we rolled up to our campsite at noon after an hour long drive on a bumpy gravel road, so we delayed our hiking until tomorrow morning when it will hopefully be cooler.
Dinner was trout on the campfire and a new take on s’mores involving strawberry flavoured marshmallows and pop tarts. 🙄
Looking forward to tomorrow and hoping Ian feels better soon.
