Goats have many nice and useful parts. Aside from being excellent milk machines, they are also very proficient poop producers. Since rhubarb is a "heavy feeder", meaning that it grows best in nutrient-rich soil, we made good use of our goats' manure pile by spreading it out on top of our rhubarb patch before the first leaves emerge. Hopefully this will help ensure a plentiful rhubarb crop this year - it is my favourite vegetable after all!
