Liam's cake was "hiking in the forest"-themed complete with a rainbow jellybean waterfall, of course. |
We began the day bright and early with cinnamon raisin French toast with fresh vanilla whipped cream and homemade maple syrup.
Then it was time for the adventure to begin with a 5.5 km hike at the Lime Kiln trail. Hiking has become a lot more interesting since the wind storm so we had to reroute a few times when our usual trails were impassable due to fallen trees.
After fueling up on All You Can Eat Sushi, Liam's birthday adventure continued with our first post-COVID visit to the climbing gym.
But that was not all! Next we brought out the bouncy castle before having some birthday cake.
Thank you, Ms. Kerry, for such incredible fun! |
No one was hungry for supper so after gift opening, it was off to bed.
Everyone was asleep within minutes. What a joyful, albeit exhausting, day. We are so happy to celebrate our super smart, incredibly adventurous eldest son on his ninth birthday. We are excited to see him continue to grow, learn and have fun over the next year. Happy Birthday Liam!
Liam got a bug jacket to wear on his next adventure. Next weekend Liam and his Daddy are going canoe camping in Algonquin Park. Now the bugs won't carry him away! |
