The Spring Rush

Spring is always a super busy time here on Gael Glen Farm and this weekend was no exception.  We worked from sun up to supper time - ploughing, planting, hardening off, watering, weeding, etc.  Busy, busy times.

Our head lettuce starts are in the ground.

Onions and leeks in and the first planting of broccoli, cabbage and kale are in!

Hardening off the second planting of cruciferous and a tray of marigolds.

By supper, it was time to take a page out of my dad's playbook and sit back to enjoy the late afternoon sunshine and a well deserved beverage. In our case it was homebrewed passionfruit kombucha (Alistair drank most of the bottle) but it was the thought that counts.
