For a little holiday get away, we took the kids on a short hiking vacation to Bon Echo. We rented a beautiful cabin in the woods along a river.

On our first day we hiked the Shield Trail in Bon Echo Provincial Park.

The rest of us are feeling a bit better after our bout of stuffy noses but Ian is just coming down with his, so the hike was a bit of a slog for him. We all made it though and the fresh air did us good. The kids were completely tired out which was excellent since we were sleeping in an open concept cabin. We were all asleep by 7:30 pm.
