Stormin'

We started off our Saturday with cinnamon french toast courtesy of fresh cinnamon swirl bread from the Carp Bakery and farm fresh eggs from our hens.  We drizzled it with our delicious Gael Glen Farm maple syrup and the result was divine.  We had just served up the last slice when thunder rumbled, lightening flashed and the lights went out!

After a brief power outage, we braved the torrential downpour for a forest walk around the special path.  We jumped in many puddles, got thoroughly soaked and enjoyed the rushing waters of the creek flowing under the covered bridge.

Alistair made a new friend - a pet worm.

Since it was storming outside, we spent the afternoon baking up a storm inside.  Liam treated us to a chocolate chip zucchini loaf.  Yum!

A rainy Saturday was had by all but we sure made it into a stormin' good time!
