A Tiny Tooth & a Great Big Send Off

We are pleased to announced that Alistair got his first tooth today.  Unfortunately, it was accompanied by a case of the sniffles that had us both up at 3 am.

Two large cups of coffee and a dose of infant Tylenol later, it is amazing how productive you can be if you do not sleep.

We managed to make bread,

bottle and brew new batches of jun and kombucha,

and watch the sunrise, all before Seamus even woke up!

Laying horizontal is posing Ali some significant breathing problems so there were no crib naps today.  He did manage to catch a few z's while swinging in the sunshine.

Luckily my raspberry patch is four feet from the swing, so I took full advantage of these few minutes to do some pruning.  I needed to clear out the fruit bearing branches from this year to give more sunshine and air flow to next year's fruit bearers.  I also want to dry some leaves for raspberry leaf tea so this was a dual purpose exercise.

The last, but certainly not least, activity of this very, very long day was Monica the Monarch's freedom flight.

Seamus was gutted to see her go but she gave us a beautiful send off flight.  Best wishes Monica on your next great adventure!

Hopefully my next great adventure involves my comfy bed and at least a few hours of sleep.  Please, please sleep Alistair.  I am so, so tired.
