Day 7: Wisconsin Dells WI to Maquoketa Caves State Park IA: Waterslides and Cornfield Sunsets

 Mama: “Well, that was pretty fun.”

Alistair: “Pretty fun? PRETTY fun?! That was REALLY FUN!!”……snore snore, snore snore….

We spent a REALLY FUN day at Noah’s Ark Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells WI. It is apparently the largest waterpark in America and easily the best we have ever been to. Alistair was just tall enough for all the rides and we did almost all of them. Our favourites were the Black Anaconda, the warm lazy river and the Black Thunder. It was an exciting day of fun in the sun! Alistair was asleep less than 5 minutes after sitting down in the car.

After  leaving the park, we drove past cornfield after cornfield into Iowa. We witnessed a beautiful sunset over the vibrant green rolling hills and rolled in to campsite #3 at Maquoketa Caves State Park. It was a fantastic day.
