We had a leisurely wake up and breakfast today, with blueberry oatmeal and fried eggs cooked on the campfire.
Our first adventure of the day was Peninsula State Park’s Eagle Tower and Canopy Walk. This was a fully wheelchair accessible fire tower with a lovely view of both the lake and the maple and beech treetop canopy.
The rest of the day was spent puttering around Door County. We sampled ice cream, hunted for antiques, scoped out a nearby beach, and visited some local artisan bakeries. Alistair also got a fancy haircut at a local barbershop. He is looking extra dashing now!
After a delicious BBQ chicken sandwich for dinner, we attended “Something in the Water” at the outdoor Northern Sky Theatre in the middle of the state park. Our tickets were right in the front row! The show was a musical comedy that was easy to follow and enjoyable for the whole family. The boys laughed and laughed.
A relaxing and enjoyable Day 4. Tomorrow is a beach day. Looking forward to it!
