Loads of Fun

We lived three days worth of fun crammed into one epic day of adventure to celebrate Seamus' 7th birthday.  Auntie Megan, Uncle Christian, cousins William and Elise, and Grandma Cora came to visit to help us celebrate this important event.  We did all the things.

Seamus' construction themed extravaganza of a birthday cake.

Heaps of decorations.

A forest walk on a warm winter day.

Feeding the birds.
Seamus got the first bird to land on his palm!

Tobogganing and teeter-tottering at the park.

Hot chocolate with marshmallows to warm up.

An afternoon movie in sleeping bags with snacks.

Seamus' choice for dinner: Grandma Susan's homemade lasagne and cheesy garlic bread
(with not too much flavour) with Mama's caesar salad.

Daddy's enthusiasm for the "party zone" is waning.

Presents!

Seamus got the most amazing bow and arrow from
Auntie Megan and Uncle Christian.
He was thrilled!

Last but not least, seven candles, an enormous cake complete with an unanticipated mud slide (not planned but fit the theme so we rolled with it) and a special birthday wish.

Having our family down to celebrate with us made this day brighter, happier, and more memorable.  It was the best day we've had in a long time.  We are all feeling very grateful...and exhausted. Definitely exhausted. It's a good thing Seamus only turns seven once!
