When your kid's daycare calls you in the middle of the workday asking you to come pick them up because they have a runny nose after recess, there is nothing to do but make pancakes for supper, brew yourself a huge cup of tea, and cuddle up with this year's seed catalogue.
Obviously I also picked up the kid, fed everyone, got everyone to bed, did the farm chores, dishes and laundry and then made up the 3+ hours of work that I missed.
