As we near the finish line of our 2022 CSA program, today's baskets were back to basics. We had cabbage, kale, onions, leeks, hot and sweet peppers, basil, sage, parsley, apple mint, rosemary, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, turnips, carrots, beets, potatoes, eggs and the special items were whole wheat bread and goats' milk soap.

This is for one basket! |
The past two days have been a long haul. Monday began early with bread dough prep, followed by farm chores, a full work day, an evening of rooster butchering, followed by more farm chores. Today began even earlier with bread baking, followed by CSA basket harvests, then farm chores, a full work day, a second evening of rooster butchering, then farm chores again. And here we are. Ian and I are still kicking but we are both pretty tired. But our Week #11 baskets are done, rooster processing is done, and we were both productive at work. We sure do lead busy, busy lives though.

The boys helped us with rooster processing tonight. |
