Hike, Hunt & Hop

Liam and I spent the morning in Calabogie hiking up to the Eagle's Nest and then over to the Skyline lookout.  It was a beautiful morning for a hike and we were careful to wear our bright orange hats and vests to be visible to the many hunters also out enjoying the morning.

Someone was tired out on the drive home!

In the afternoon, Ian headed out for his time in the forest. Unfortunately (for him), no deer opted to join him. Meanwhile, Alistair had an epic snooze and the big boys headed over to a friend's house down the street for their first ever solo play date with a schoolmate. After two hours of hopping around on a trampoline and sharing some of their Halloween stash for a snack, Liam and Seamus walked home proud as can be that they were kind, polite and oh, so independent during their afternoon out. I was very proud of them (and thankful to Sophia's mother for the hour of quiet I had when they were gone and Ali was asleep, lol).
