Sunset Sap Run

I was elected to collect the maple sap today. It was glorious. There is nothing that says springtime better than the beautiful melody of sap drops pinging into dozens of metal buckets. The sunset was the perfect visual accompaniment. This was the highlight of my day, for sure.

Look what is up already! We have parsley appearing for its second year in the kitchen garden. How I dream of tabbouleh fresh from the garden...

Direct Sow

Compared to other years, it is very early yet to be sowing seeds outside but I cannot resist. In go the lettuce, parsnips, bok choy, chard, and broccolini.
